A top-notch list of 26 finalists has been announced following a record-breaking 70 entries for the 2024 Queensland Mining Awards.
This year’s Awards mark a decade of spotlighting the best of Queensland’s resources industry and the peer-judging process has again uncovered some hidden gems: the great stories that industry needs to tell of innovation, improvements and solutions to broad-ranging problems.
Winners of each of the eight categories, plus the Queensland Mining Contractor of the Year, will be announced at the Gala Dinner, held in Mackay on Wednesday, July 24.
Jodie Currie, Bowen Basin Mining Club Director, said this year’s record level of entries demonstrates the continued importance of the Awards program to highlight industry’s successes.
“It’s a privilege to be trusted to tell the stories of industry in this way – I never take for granted how exciting the Awards are for contractors, suppliers and miners at all levels. Each finalist is truly worthy of recognition.”
