Mining Makes a Difference

Our ‘Mining responsibly, for today and tomorrow’ campaign is continuing on air on television and radio across NSW, with more to come in the months ahead.

Featuring people working in mining, and examples of best practice, our campaign will help improve public understanding of just how important mining is for our way of life now and in the future, while also demonstrating the many ways we mine responsibly.

We’ve also launched a campaign website www.responsiblemining.com.au where you can see our television commercials and find out more about the people and practices featured in the campaign.

Another great opportunity to showcase our world-leading Hunter mining industry is the Hunter Coal Festival. After two years of postponements due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the Festival will make its long awaited return from October 21-29.

The 2022 Hunter Coal Festival has three main events– a Careers Expo, the return of the popular Mining Leaders Lunch and the festival’s biggest event, the Singleton Community Day.

The 2022 Hunter Coal Festival will keep the successful “Community + Coexistence + Innovation + Education” theme and will highlight the amazing families that live and work in our mining communities.

The Festival is also an opportunity to highlight the ongoing co-existence between industry and community with a focus on the positive benefits to the Hunter overall as well as the contribution made by individual companies.
