The Gunnedah Show Committee held their Inaugural Energy, Innovation and Mining and Expo this month and they delivered beyond all expectations.
From the kids to the adults, there were smiles all around as people enjoyed looking behind the scenes of all facets of industry. From large shovel buckets and simulators, through to the latest in solar, there was plenty to see.
Senator Matt Canavan, Barnaby Joyce and Local MP Kevin Anderson were on hand to provide the community with the facts on industry and the region. The boys from MRS Services had some time with Senator Canavan who was very interactive with the growing crowd and gave two great speeches.
“It was great to be able to meet him and to actively participate in engagement around all things industry.” Johnathon McTaggart from MRS services said. “He is very switched on and is so easy going and open to conversation. He was with us for a good 15mins, and given he is on the forefront of energy industry, it was really encouraging to see how proactive he has been around the energy sector, and reassuring that there are big things happening behind the scenes that are being pursued before it is too late.”
The most important thing to come out of eIMEx was a strong message. Coal, mining in general and other industries such as agriculture, are all equally important and vital pillars of not only NSW and Australia’s prosperity and future, but the world as well.
