It’s the time of year where the Complete Parts and @ The Coalface $500 Community Gift goes towards a ton of toys, because every child deserves to wake up to a present under the tree at Christmas.
Since 2017, Complete Parts & Equipment Solutions has been running its Christmas Giving Tree initiative at its premises in Maison Dieu.
Thanks to the kindness of the team at Complete Parts and the many suppliers, clients and members of the community who donate, gifts will continue to build up under the tree until December 9 when they will then be given to the Singleton Neighbourhood Centre to put into hampers with food and other items that will help make Christmas magical for hundreds of families.
The Singleton Neighbourhood Centre work tirelessly to help the community’s more vulnerable and disadvantaged, offering a range of support, information and referral services that include emergency relief, financial assistance and advocacy.
At this time of year, they are hard at work making sure everyone in the community will get to celebrate Christmas and Chairperson of Singleton Neighbourhood Centre Sue George said she was grateful for the continued support from Complete Parts & Equipment Solutions to help make that happen.
“We at the Singleton Neighbourhood Centre are so appreciative of the continued support from Complete Parts and Equipment Solutions,” said Sue.
“Their wishing tree allows us to support so many within the Singleton area to have a little piece of Christmas. This year we have an increased number of families seeking support in providing their children, and many grandchildren in care, the joy of presents on Christmas.
“This year, we hope to increase last year’s support to the families in our community due to the extreme cost of living. The families that we support with these generous donations are experiencing a range of challenges and trauma ranging from homelessness, risk of homelessness, domestic and family violence, disabilities, mental health concerns, loss of loved one and family separations.
“We also have seen a rise in the need for hampers for the youth of singleton who will find themselves without connection with family over the Christmas holidays.
“We could not have provided this support without the generosity of Complete Parts and Equipment Solutions and all of our donations and supporters, so we thank you.”
Complete Parts General Manager Craig Tanzer said the entire team at Complete Parts gets behind the Christmas Giving Tree.
“I’m really proud of their generosity and the effort they put in every single year.
“The aim of this initiative is to make sure families in our community who are doing it tough can still have a Christmas full of laugher and joy,” said Craig.
Help this fantastic initiative by donating gifts or non-perishable food items that can be used in the hampers. Drop off your gifts at Complete Parts before December 9 and spread some Christmas cheer. You’ll find them on Magpie Street at Maison Dieu, Singleton. |
