Dyson golf day

What could be better than spending a day on the golf course? Playing golf alongside motorsport legends all while raising money for a good cause!

On November 3, the inaugural Dyson Family Foundation Charity Golf Day will be held at Rydges Resort in the Hunter Valley and it promises to be an unforgettable day.

The Dyson Family Foundation was set up in 2021 by Felicity and Sean Dyson, the owners of Complete Parts and Equipment Solutions. It was a way for the couple to give back to the community they are proud to call home.

The first initiative of the Dyson Family Foundation was ‘Backpack Pals’, food packs that are provided to families through local schools who are experiencing financial difficulties. It’s an initiative that continues to grow each year and Felicity said that funding for Backpack Pals is vital so it can not only continue but can expand to reach even more families.

“Currently the Dyson Family Foundation is majorly funded by Complete Parts and Equipment Solutions. In order for us to extend our reach and continue to grow our Backpack Pals initiative we needed to commence external fundraising opportunities,” Felicity said.

“All the funds raised at the golf day will be going towards continuing to grow Backpack Pals and open up our service to surrounding areas, allowing us to work with more schools and assist more families right across the Hunter Valley.”

Teams of four are invited to sign up for the golf day which will be a 2 Man Ambrose format. Breakfast and lunch is included, a charity auction will be held, plus there is an extra special thrill for lovers of motorsports.

“We have three guest speakers joining us for the day, Will Brown, Broc Feeney and Kai Allen. Will and Broc both drive for the Red Bull Ampol Racing Team and Kai Allen is the youngest Super 2 Champion and will make his debut in the V8 Supercars in 2025 driving for Grove Racing.

“Will is currently running first in the championship standings and Broc is sitting in third. All three are highly skilled drivers with a wealth of knowledge on professional racing. They are also great guys that will provide plenty of entertainment and laughs on the day. I’m sure they will be able to give all our golf participants some insider knowledge on the inner workings of professional racing.”

If you want even more time up close and personal with these racing legends, there is a very unique opportunity up for grabs. By coming onboard as a Naming Rights partner, you get Will Brown as a member of your team or as a Major partner you will get Broc Feeney or Kai Allen as one of your teams members. There are also opportunities for Minor Partnerships also.

Felicity said that while participants will be able to enjoy a round of golf while connecting with motorsport professionals, they will also be making a real difference to the community.

“The Foundation is really making a positive impact in the local community. We are alleviating a little bit of pressure for the families that make use of our initiative. I receive a lot of positive feedback from the schools we are currently supporting which lets me know our initiative is serving its intended purpose which is simply to help.

“Our aim for our first charity golf event is to put on a fantastic day and raise as much money as we can so we can continue to grow our initiative and support more families across the Hunter with our Backpack Pal initiative. Every little bit helps and gets us a step closer to growing our services reach which means we can help to support more children and their families.”
