Hunter Valley Hydraulink have been awarded the Hydraulink 2023 Network Partner of the Year and we cannot not think of anyone more deserving of the award.

Ok so we admit we might be a little biased, but that’s because @ The Coalface owes a lot to Shane and Kellie Goodwin and Hunter Valley Hydraulink. Our good mate Shane was one the very first people to say ‘Yeah we’ll get behind you’ when the magazine was starting up. So, from all of us here @ The Coalface, congratulations!

It’s been a long road and a hell of a lot of hard work to get the business to where it is today. 18 years ago, Shane was operating with just one van out of his shed at home and working a second job to make ends meet. Fast forward to today and Kellie and Shane have built up the business to such a level that they have just taken out the most prestigious award throughout all of the Aussie dealers with the Hydraulink Network Partner of Year.

Earlier this month Shane and Kellie attended the joint Aus/NZ Hydraulink conference on the Gold Coast. There were over 250 people in attendance for the event which included their gala awards presentation on the Friday night.

“I had an inkling that we were in line for something, but I wasn’t expecting it to be for the top gong!” Shane said.

They were number one from a network of 135 other dealers across Australia. The criteria for which they won was based on the Hydraulink brand commitment, total sales and growth.

They were also nominated for ‘Best Presented NSW’ and ‘Highest Sales’.

Shane said it meant a great deal to the whole team to come back home with the award.

“It’s a huge honour to be recognised in this way. I’m proud of what we have achieved.

“This has been done through hard work, determination and a never give up attitude.

“I know it’s a bit of a cliche but none of this would have been possible without our reliable group of dedicated long-term employees and HSSTs. Craig Brown, Dale Cox and Sally Beverley have been the backbone of the business, notching up their 10+ years of service earlier this year.”

Shane said the commitment of the team has been invaluable. They’ve ridden the waves with Shane and Kellie through it all. Even taken pay cuts for a period when the mining downturn hit in 2015 for the best interests of the business.

“They could have easily walked away but stuck solid with us.” Shane said.

To Shane, Kellie and the entire team we hope you enjoy this well deserved award. You have earned this prestigious recognition and we look forward to many more years of success for Hunter Valley Hydraulink.
