Malabar Resources has proudly offered their support to the local Westpac Rescue Helicopter to ensure they can maintain their essential community service.
The donation of $500 by Malabar Resources will help the service to continue their life saving work this year.
The Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service flies four helicopters from three bases at Belmont, Tamworth and Lismore, providing emergency aeromedical services to 1.5 million people across Northern NSW.
This service is an integral link in the NSW emergency care chain. Working with NSW Ambulance, the Westpac Rescue crews draw on extensive experience and training to respond to missions for those who are injured or requiring urgent specialist care.
Westpac Rescue has operated the Hunter service since 1975, New England North West since 2000 and commenced operations from Lismore in April 2017.
Malabar Resource’s Manager of Health, Safety, Environment and Community, Donna McLaughlin said, “We are happy to contribute to keeping the Westpac Helicopter in the sky saving lives, a service that is invaluable to our community.
“Doing our bit to support the Westpac Rescue Helicopter and in turn the safety of our community is important to us as a local and community focussed business.”
