Mackay Fluid Power is a privately owned, locally run business. We are ever growing and expanding. We work with quality suppliers to offer a range of premium products.

Mackay Fluid Power have the ability to support your project from concept through to design, fabrication, commissioning, and operator training if required. Our capabilities include assessing and repairing equipment, auditing, QA testing, fluid transfer and filtration and we offer solutions to lubrication, hose and fittings and pneumatics. Above this we will do what it takes to provide what our customers need while providing excellent customer service and support.

How long have you been doing business?

Mackay Fluid Power has been running for 25 years, however it came under new management a few years ago.

How many people work for the business?

We have 15 people working within Mackay Fluid Power.

Describe a typical day at ‘The office’.

There is no typical day, every day is different. Well, apart from ‘smoko’, that’s the same every day no matter what!

What are the biggest challenges facing your business?

We are a growing business and can find it hard to get staff, but we try our hardest to be competitive and work with potential staff to get the balance they need.

What is the business most proud of?

We are proud of our commitment to our customers and the relationships we have built with them. We also have pride in the culture we have created, which is reflected in our quality service.

Community or other causes close to its heart and values?

We love to give back to the community and get involved with fundraising. We recently sponsored a young wakeboarder who competed in an Australia-wide event. We were so proud of him and humbled we could give this opportunity to such a deserving person. We are also supporters of the McGrath Foundation and Paint it Pink.

Any funny or heartwarming stories to share?

Mackay Fluid Power is the reason I am here in Australia, In 2022, I was looking to move from the UK to find a better work life balance for my family, Xiang our COO and George Trusiak reached out to me and here we are. They have supported my family and sponsored us on our move from England. We found immediate comfort from everyone in the team and they all continue to help us along this huge journey of ours and we will be forever grateful. 

Any employees that deserve a shout out?

Every single one of them! They all work as hard as each other. We are a TEAM, and I am proud of each one of them!
