I’m Dan Kelly, Director of Keldan. Keldan is a quality trade labour and services support business with exposure to field and workshop maintenance applications across varied heavy industry.
How long have you been doing business?
Keldan has been operating since 2016.
How many people work for the business?
The business employees a total of 132 people currently.
Describe a typical day at ‘The office’.
Check and respond to early morning emails and text messages over a coffee at home.
At the office at 6.30am and work my way through our rebuild workshop and check on our people and progress of works and then onto our automotive workshop the same.
Talk with customers about future support from Keldan and also engagement with our teams and new people we are on boarding.
What’s the best thing about the business?
People that we bring into the business who genuinely appreciate the step change and opportunities they have for their family.
The worst thing?
People that do not appreciate an opportunity!
What are the biggest challenges facing your business?
Skills shortage is a challenge for any business.
What is the biggest opportunity for your business right now?
Our overseas program that we have been engaged with for the past 4 years is setting a new level for Keldan to provide skilled workers across industries across NSW.
What is the business most proud of?
Bringing opportunities to various people and nationalities.
Community or other causes close to its heart and values?
Sponsorship of the Scone Mustangs Junior Soccer and Maitland Rams Hockey Club, plus we support a range of charities and make school donations annually.
