FTA was founded in 1997 by a local family for the purpose of providing the highest possible quality products and services within the filtration industry. After many years of success in this field, FTA has proudly expanded our product and services lines to include custom dispensing and refueling solutions, reel racks, light vehicle wash bays, mobile filtration services, and so much more.
How long have you been doing business?
FTA has been manufacturing for over 26 years.
After 17 years with the company, Chris Wells purchased the business in 2022 and hasn’t looked back.
How many people work for the business?
16 employees, 9 of which are on site regularly servicing our clients’ needs.
Describe a typical day at ‘The office’.
We are no typical business, and therefore, there is no typical day for us here at FTA. With employees that possess a broad range of skills, we really tap into that to achieve collective business goals. One day you might see us rebuilding a service truck or chasing hard to find parts for a customer, and the next we can be on site at a bus depot. The possibilities are endless for us as we work in close collaboration with our clients to design and manufacture top quality products to their needs and specifications.
What’s the best thing about the business?
By now it would be clear that our team is very important to us. FTA would not be able to provide the quality of products and services that we do, without each individual contribution. Boasting with a league of employees that have been with the business for over 10 years, and one even coming up to the 20 year mark this year, we continue to work toward a work environment where employees feel valued, appreciated, and inspired to thrive.
What are the biggest challenges facing your business?
As with most businesses post COVID, our biggest challenge at the moment is finding enough skilled labour for the amount of work we have on.
What is the biggest opportunity for your business right now?
With Chris purchasing the business not too long ago, we’ve only uncovered the tip of the iceberg in terms of possibilities. We are excited about the future, eager to expand and geared up for a great year ahead.
