Wednesday is Steak night… And that is all the invitation I need.  Dining at the Moranbah Workers Club recently, I was pleasantly surprised. The meal was a real treat for the tastebuds, and it left me feeling as satisfied as a miner who just struck black gold.

Moranbah Workers Club is a fabulous asset to the community. Operating since 2013, and overseen by a Board of Directors, they have donated over $650,000 to many worthy local organisations. Check out the recipients at

Knowing I am helping each time I dine here gives me that “warm fuzzy” feeling. With the Bottleshop and Courtesy Bus, whether you are wanting to dine in, or grab some take home drinks, they are committed to keeping you safe.

My steak was cooked to perfection, juicy and tender, with just the right amount of char. It was seasoned to perfection and the flavour was simply divine. I paired it with a side of crispy, golden chips that were lightly salted, and a medley of fresh, crispy vegetables that added a pop of colour and crunch to the plate.

The setting was casual and relaxed, with a sports-bar vibe that was perfect for a night out with friends. The staff were friendly and attentive, and they went above and beyond to make sure that I was comfortable and satisfied with my meal.

What’s more, the price of the meal was incredibly reasonable, making it an excellent option for anyone looking for a delicious and affordable meal in town. And, with the club located right in the heart of the mining community, it was a great place to catch up with the locals and chat about the latest goings-on in town.

I have the good fortune to visit Moranbah each month, so I have been able to enjoy other delectable menu items.

When it comes to a meal that can satisfy both your hunger and your tastebuds, the beer-battered barramundi with vegetables and chips is a true champion. The crispy exterior of the barramundi is like a suit of armour protecting the succulent flesh inside, while the fresh vegetables provide a healthy balance to the indulgent crispy chips. It’s the perfect meal to recharge after a hard day’s work in the mines, or to simply treat yourself to a taste of the good life. So, if you’re looking for a meal that can conquer both your appetite and your cravings, look no further.

If you prefer something healthy and delicious, the pan-fried salmon with potato mash and steamed vegetables is the way to go. The salmon is flawlessly cooked, flaky and moist, while the creamy potato mash provides a perfect complement to the tender fish. And the steamed veggies? They’re so fresh and appetising that you’ll forget they’re good for you.

Moranbah Workers Club also serves up terrific pizzas and has daily themes and specials. It is a true gem. The pizzas are downright heavenly, with a crispy crust that can stand up to any toppings you throw at it. And the daily themes and specials are like a culinary adventure, offering something new and exciting every time you visit.
