Pembroke Resources has committed $85,000 to develop a new playground at Moranbah State School, contributing to its $1 million Community Partnership Program aimed at enhancing social and community life in the Isaac region.
The announcement was made during the company’s inaugural Community Expo in Moranbah earlier this year.
Moranbah State School is dedicated to creating an accessible facility for all prep students, emphasising that the playground is vital for student development.
“We aim to inspire students’ imagination while supporting their physical, social, and cognitive growth.”
Pembroke recognises the value of this investment and looks forward to collaborating with the school to bring the Pembroke Playground to life, a key initiative that will benefit children for generations.
Barry Tudor, Chairman and CEO of Pembroke, said that the Community Partnership Program was established to ensure lasting benefits for the local area stemming from the Olive Downs Complex. Funding will support projects identified and prioritised by local residents.
Representatives from Pembroke visited the local school to engage with prep students and announce the exciting new Pembroke Playground project.
Barry Tudor praised the school for its commitment to enriching the educational experiences and opportunities for the Moranbah community. He gave special recognition to Tegan Sutton, who was instrumental in initiating the partnership by approaching Pembroke with the project proposal.
The visit was a heartwarming and memorable event for all involved, with a sense of excitement throughout the morning. Pembroke said they are looking forward to seeing the playground come to life and are eager to return for the official opening.
