On July 1, Stratquip officially became Aquaflo Hire, and the team sure is pumped to get the word out!
Mark Edwards is the Manager at Aquaflo Hire and he said that while the name has changed customers can still rely on the same quality equipment for your project.
“The reason for the name change is in part because we want to make it clear to people that Aquaflo Hire is part of the Truflo Pumps’ family,” shared Mark.
“Truflo Pumps is known throughout Australia and overseas as the manufacturers of quality pumps and so we want people to know that they can count on that same quality when hiring pumps from Aquaflo Hire.
“With the two companies working together we are basically doubling down, twice the expertise, twice the experience, and twice the resources.”
Stratquip began operations in 2006, a year where heavy rainfall caused widespread flooding in many parts of Australia and as a result companies in the mining industry were urgently demanding high quality pumps to keep their sites operating.
“We saw a lot of our customers quickly needing pumps and they either didn’t have the capital to purchase one, or they needed it right then and there. Most pumps are custom built for each client’s needs, and they simply didn’t have the time to wait.
“The need for having ready to go pumps was clear and as we have always been a solution-based company we decided to step in and start hiring out pumps to fill that demand.”
Since Truflo Pumps took over the business in 2015 it has grown more than twenty times its original size and today Aquaflo Hire has a head office in Yandina as well as operating out of Truflo Pumps’ headquarters in Bathurst.
“Having the backing of Truflo Pumps allows us to rapidly expand, for example we recently purchased six brand new pumps to add to our fleet of over 270 units. We also have more people joining the team, with a mechanical fitter and a fitter turner being the last couple of additions on the workshop floor. There is so much happening right now which and we’re excited to share it.”
Mark also emphasised that Aquaflo Hire’s company ethos is the same as Truflo Pumps’ – it’s not just about providing pumps but providing solutions.
“Because we have such an extensive fleet, we find that in most instances we have what the customer requires ready to go but if there are specific requirements for a job then we have the ability to adapt what we’ve got or even have something custom built.
“Whether it’s changing the wet end or coming up with another solution, our team here have the expertise and the resources to deliver it.”
Business Development Manager, Daniel Hungerford, said that there are many reasons that companies choose to hire a pump instead of purchasing one. Whether it is a lack of capital, pumping needs changing over time, or they simply want to try before they buy.
“Sometimes it might even be that they have purchased pumps from Truflo Pumps but as there can be a longer lead in time with customised models they need something to fill the hole while they wait. That’s another avenue that benefits the customer by having the two companies working together.
“Truflo Pumps has built a reputation globally for being a company that you can trust to provide quality products and services and with Stratquip rebranding there is an obvious connection so that people will be able to identify that you can count on that same quality and service with Aquaflo Hire.”
