Registrations for the annual Quarry Mining Mailrun Charity bike ride are now open for 2022 with the ride set for Sunday April 10.

The first Quarry Mining Mailrun Charity bike ride was held in 2013, and year by year has grown by participants and funds raised for not-for-profit charitable organisation, Singleton Family Support Inc (SFS) and the valuable work they do.

Singleton Family Support has supported families in the Singleton local government area for over 30 years and continues to work with families to empower them to make decisions that keep their family unit safe.

The ride will start at the grassed area between Singleton Civic Centre and the Swim and Gym with four distance options to suit all riding levels – 20km, 40km 65km and 100km.

All courses will take you through the stunning Hunter Valley along lightly trafficked, tarred roads.

This year’s departure times will be restricted in an effort to make it a more enjoyable event for all with the 100km course riders starting their ride between 7am and 7:30, the 65km course riders starting between 7:30 and 8am, the 40km course riders starting between 8am and 8:30, and the 20km course riders starting between 8:30 and 9am.

“There is no limit to numbers, so we hope to get as many people as possible involved in the 2022 Mailrun,” said SPS Project Officer, Diana Deaves.

“We raised close to $48,000 last year, so this year our goal is to reach over $50,000.

“And as always, all entrants will receive a free lunch and drink at the finish area and free entry into the pool at the Singleton Gym and Swim for a shower or swim after the ride.”

Online registrations will close on Friday, 8th April 2022 at 6pm, and riders can register on the day.
