Tell us about the business.
Nivek Industries is an equipment manufacturer specialising in machines that support material handling and maintenance operations on heavy plant.
Our flagship product, the Tracked Elevating Device – affectionately known as TED – has been helping maintenance personnel safely and efficiently on hundreds of mining sites across Australia. Designed with safety and productivity in mind, TED reduces manual handling risks and improves access to heavy components, allowing crews to work smarter and safer.
With innovation at the heart of our business, we continue to develop practical solutions that meet the demanding needs of the mining industry.
How long have you been doing business?
Nivek Industries has been in operation since 2011 and has continued to grow steadily ever since. From humble beginnings, we’ve expanded our reach and product range to support mining operations nationwide, building a reputation for innovation, reliability, and a strong commitment to keeping maintenance personnel safe.
How many people work for the business?
Today, Nivek Industries employs a dedicated team of 13 people, each playing a vital role in designing, manufacturing and supporting our products. Our close-knit workforce allows us to remain agile, innovative and responsive to the needs of our customers.
Describe a typical day at ‘The office’.
A typical day at Nivek Industries is a mix of supporting our customers through after-sales service, manufacturing new products and designing the next innovation. Whether it’s developing a new attachment or refining an existing product, our focus is always on helping maintenance personnel work more safely and efficiently by reducing the risks they face on site.
What are the biggest challenges facing your business?
Like many growing companies, one of our biggest challenges is keeping up with demand. We’ve established some fantastic international distributors, and with several new products in development that will be hitting the market soon, ensuring we scale effectively while maintaining our quality and service is a constant focus.
What are the biggest opportunities for your business right now?
Our biggest opportunities lie in the new products and attachments we are developing for the TED range. We’re currently working closely with several customers on solutions we believe will drastically improve the way heavy components are moved and supported in the workplace. Importantly, these innovations extend beyond heavy industry and have the potential to create safer, more efficient practices across a wide range of sectors.
What is the business most proud of?
Nivek Industries is most proud of the quality of our products, the commitment and responsiveness of our after-sales support, and our flexibility in incorporating customer ideas. By listening to our clients and working collaboratively, we create solutions that truly reduce workplace risk while enhancing efficiency and safety.
Community or other causes close to its heart and values?
Community and local values are also very important to Nivek Industries. We strongly support Australian manufacturing, actively sourcing the majority of our components from local businesses. Additionally, we proudly sponsor several local sporting clubs in our hometown of Singleton, giving back to the community that has supported our growth.
Any employees that deserve a shout out?
When it comes to our team, it’s too hard to single out any individual – everyone plays a critical role. For a relatively small workforce, our team produces an impressive amount and we’re very proud of the dedication and collaboration that drives Nivek Industries forward.
