Coxons is Australia’s leading cooling component repair and maintenance specialist. We are the go-to for radiator scheduled maintenance, overhauls and rebuilds for heavy mobile equipment to maximise fleet availability and reliability. We are also the exclusive, national distributor of the MineCool range of quality OEM-alternative aftermarket cooling products, compatible with the full fleet of mobile equipment you’d find on most sites.
How long have you been doing business?
For more than 35 years we’ve been supporting Australia’s leading mining companies and contractors. Starting out as a regional family business, we’ve grown to become a trusted partner with national capability.
How many people work for the business?
We’ve got more than 100 team members and are growing all the time. Our workshops are located in Mackay, Rockhampton and Singleton, and our head office is in Brisbane.

What are the biggest challenges facing your business?
We have a critical skills shortage in Australia, especially among essential trades, so that has presented a challenge for our business like many others, especially considering the areas we operate in. With a focus on creating a great team culture and providing opportunities to grow and develop within the business, we’re striving to be an employer of choice to attract great people to join us on our journey.
What is the biggest opportunity for your business right now?
There are a few interesting opportunities we are exploring, however right now it would be our exclusive distribution of MineCool components across Australia and internationally. MineCool has 300+ cooling components that are high quality and built to meet or exceed OEM standards. With supply chain challenges and the global shortage of critical parts continuing, MineCool has been able to fill this void by supplying the products mine sites need now. With superior speed-to-market, we hold emergency stock in branches close to customers, with full distribution support directly from our Brisbane headquarters across Australia.
What is the business most proud of?
It’d have to be the longstanding relationships we have built with global mining companies based on our reliability and performance under pressure. We are a committed local business with people doing hands-on work to make sure Australia’s mobile mining fleets keep moving. Our customers know they can trust us to get the job done to the highest standard.
Additionally, it has been really rewarding to see the development and growth of many of our team members, with the opportunities we’ve been able to afford them as the business continues to expand.
Community or other causes close to its heart and values?
We walk the walk when it comes to our values. They aren’t just a few words we put on posters in our workshops. It’s part of what we do every day. From our CEO Town Halls to our company-wide cultural development program, there are countless opportunities for our team to thrive.
When it comes to causes we support, we’ve done a lot of large-scale sponsorships to benefit the regional communities we are part of, including CapRescue helicopter rescue services, cancer awareness, mental health support and medical research. We also are proud supporters of grassroots junior sports within the areas where we operate.
