Describe a typical day at ‘The office’.
A typical day involves a mix of engineering design, client consultation, project management, scheduling, quoting, and fabrication. The team works across the full project lifecycle, from early concept development and detailed design through to build, deployment, and commissioning in challenging operational environments.
What are the biggest challenges facing your business?
One of the biggest challenges is the pace of technological change. Rapid advancements in private 5G, industrial wireless networking, autonomy, and cybersecurity mean the business must continually invest in skills, training, and platform development to ensure its technical capability remains aligned with emerging technologies and evolving client requirements.
What are the biggest opportunities for your business right now?
Britetech is seeing strong growth opportunities in end-to-end OT network design, particularly with Rajant Kinetic Mesh networks, private 5G solutions delivered through its partnership with TPG, and CCTV design and integration projects. The business is also expanding its range of mobile communications trailers to support increasing technological demands and autonomous operations within the mining sector.
What is the business most proud of?
The company is particularly proud of delivering a new operational technology network in Central New South Wales for a new mining client, utilising licensed 5.6 GHz spectrum with a Rajant Kinetic Mesh architecture. Britetech is also proud of its custom-designed 5G trailer solution developed for a Tier One mining operator and deployed in Queensland to support autonomous operations. In addition, the company’s expansion as a CCTV design and integration specialist across Western Australia, Queensland and New South Wales represents a major milestone.
Community or other causes close to its heart and values?
Defence support and veteran transition are central to Britetech’s values. The company actively applies defence ethos and principles – such as discipline, accountability, teamwork and mission focus – across its operations. Where possible, Britetech supports current and former defence personnel by providing employment opportunities and assisting with their transition into civilian technical careers.
Any employees that deserve a shout out?
A special mention goes to Tanya Bowden, who delivered Britetech’s ISO 9001 (Quality Management), ISO 14001 (Environmental Management), and ISO 45001 (Occupational Health and Safety) certifications within her first year, significantly strengthening the company’s operational standards.
