Idemitsu’s Muswellbrook Coal Company (MCC) recently marked a significant safety milestone, celebrating an impressive 6.5 years without a lost time injury.
6.5 years LTI free is a remarkable achievement for our industry and demonstrates the priority that MCC places on the health and safety of its workforce.
Grant Clouten, MCC’s General Manager had the honour of being presented with the Silver Award from Noriaki Sakai, the Managing Director of Safety & Environmental Protection from Idemitsu Kosan Co in Tokyo in recognition of the achievement.
During the presentation, Grant shared the mine’s significant history and their safety journey since 2015 and voiced how incredibly proud he was of the team’s accomplishment.
“This is a reflection of the people on-site continuing to live company values,” said Grant.
“At MCC we understand the importance of clear accountability, with everyone playing their part and working together to produce coal and go home safely each day.”
“Well done to our team at Muswellbrook for their contribution to the safety of our mine.”
