The Denman Pig Races are back on Saturday October 12 and it’s going to be a porker!
This unique event is a highlight on swine calendar, with Denman’s top racing pigs battling it out to be named top hog. But the real winner of the day is the Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service. Last year the event saw over $20,000 raised for the Service and this year the goal is to raise even more.
In addition to the 6 pig races held through the day there will be plenty more to see and do with market stalls, a woodchopping demo and plenty of activities for the kids such as jumping castles and laser tag.
Dk Heavy Plant Services are the proud major sponsors of the event. David Komacha, Managing Director of DK Heavy Plant Services said they are big believers in supporting the communities that support them.
“By coming on board as the major sponsors we are investing in the Denman community as well as a charity that is close to our hearts. We have staff and family who have been the recipients of the amazing services provided by the Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service and many of our staff regularly donate to the service as part of our workplace giving program, so it was a natural progression for us to sponsor this event,” said Dave.
Grab the family and bring your chairs to Denman Football Oval for some fun, laughter and plenty of squeals!
