Christmas is coming, and for some children, the magic of the season starts with a simple gift under the tree. Thanks to the Complete Parts & Equipment Solutions Christmas Giving Tree, children in Singleton who might otherwise miss out will wake up to that joy.
Every year since 2017, the Complete Parts office fills with gifts donated by the team, suppliers, clients, and community members – all destined for families doing it tough.
Every year the gifts collected are taken to the Singleton Neighbourhood Centre, where they’ll be added to Christmas hampers overflowing with food and festive cheer. The centre works tirelessly to support the community’s most vulnerable, providing emergency relief, financial assistance, advocacy, and more.
Singleton Neighbourhood Centre’s General Manager Scott Keesing said that this year has been particularly harder for the community and families of Singleton, as the cost of living has affected people harder this year than ever before.
“Having the support of local businesses, such as Complete Parts, allows the Centre to ensure that we are able to provide something substantial to families this year at Christmas along with ensuring that children and adolescents of our community receive a gift on Christmas day. What better joy is there than that.”
Craig Tanzer, National Manager at Complete Parts, says the initiative is about more than providing gifts – it’s about strengthening community spirit.
“Every year, our team rallies behind this with genuine enthusiasm,” Craig said.
“We want families in our community to feel supported, valued and connected during the Christmas season. If we can help bring even a little comfort and joy to those doing it tough, then we’ve done something meaningful together.”
| You can be part of this wonderful initiative too. Donations of gifts or non-perishable food items are welcome to be dropped off at Complete Parts on Magpie Street, Maison Dieu before December 9. |
