Dysart Kindy @ The Coalface

Providing care to the children of Dysart for more than 45 years, Dysart Kindy recently marked the occasion with a celebration, welcoming current, past and future families at an Open Day.

Established in 1979, this enduring beacon in the community has been providing childcare for generations of families residing in Dysart.

Mariette Bylsma, BMA Head of Production, and Scott Sutherland, Superintendent Reliability Saraji Mine, joined the celebrations at the Open Day delivering the kids and ‘big kids’ with rainbow-coloured cupcakes made by local Supplier Jam Drop.

They said it was lovely to meet the staff and learn of their daily activities for the children and the commitment to families seeking childcare in the Dysart Community.

BMA proudly supported the Dysart Kindy’s Open Day through the Benefiting My Community Program (BMCP) contributing funds to support the event’s activities.

Over the Kindy’s years of service BMA’s support has been vital to secure critical upgrades and activities. More than $35,000 has been contributed through the BMCP for a range of activities including the Dysart Kindy Creek bed Project in 2023 with a $20,000 contribution, the Dysart Kindy 45 Year Celebration in 2024 with a $6,000 contribution, and the Dysart Kindy Resource Upgrade for 2025 with over $9,000 to be contributed.
