There’s plenty to celebrate this month.

NAIDOC Week celebrations have been held across the country as we acknowledge and learn about First Nations cultures and histories. Our industry is a strong advocator for First Nations’ people and we are proud to showcase a few of the events celebrated across the region.

We also acknowledge Richard Jones remarkable 27 years of service to the Westpac Rescue Helicopter this month. As the CEO, Richard has been instrumental in making the Service the world-class rescue organisation we know today. While it’s sad to Richard stepping down as CEO, we celebrate the enormous contribution he has made and will continue to make in his new role as head of community engagement.

This month we are delighted to have students from Aspect Hunter School featured on our kids’ page. It is estimated that 1 in 70 Australians are on the autism spectrum and this wonderful school not only supports children with autism but celebrates them.

We hope you enjoy this month’s edition of @ The Coalface.
