Tragedies shape us, but they don’t define us.
From all of us @ The Coalface, we extend our heartfelt sympathy to everyone who has been impacted by the Greta bus tragedy.

Loss is aways heartbreaking. And when a loss is sudden, coping in the aftermath can feel impossibly hard. But there are ways to heal, and it is vital that you seek help and support.
Our story this month on trauma provides practical information on recognising trauma, and when and where to seek help. We hope it may be helpful to not only those who have been affected by the recent tragedy, but for anyone who is going through a difficult time.
We also have provided information on what you can do when someone you care for is suffering. It can be difficult to know how to help someone when they have gone through a traumatic event. Offer support, encourage them to talk to you or to someone else, and most importantly, don’t judge what they are going through because everyone experiences trauma differently.
Our community has been rocked and it will be a long time before we can move forward, but if we are there for one another we will get through it together.
