In the heart of Muswellbrook sits the Cattle Dog Cafe & Florist, a cute little café with a big heart, great coffee and delicious fresh meals.
Coupled with their delicious breakfast and lunch menu, the Cattle Dog Café and Florist offers an assortment of beautiful gifts, flowers and jewellery available for purchase, homemade pies, sausage rolls, ready to go meals and delicious treats all while supporting local producers.
The menu has a wonderful range with all day breakfast, plenty of lunch options including choose your own filling sandwiches and wraps, and a selection of beverages from top notch coffee to smoothies and milkshakes.
After a busy morning on the job, our Editor Coalface Bec and I couldn’t go past the quaint café for a bite to eat.
Stopping by for lunch, we took a minute to browse their gifts and local products and couldn’t resist purchasing a Hunter Valley Olive Co olive oil before setting our eyes on the menu.
I decided on a custom wrap filled with my choices of chicken breast, bacon, avocado, tomato, onion, lettuce and aioli. The wrap looked absolutely lovely when it arrived at our table packed full of vibrant, fresh salad and succulent grilled chicken, and tasted just as good as it looked.
Bec went for her staple choice, a Grilled Chicken Caesar Salad. Again, the salad arrived with the freshest of ingredients from the chicken to the eggs. As a bit of a caesar salad critic, I was pleased to see Bec eat the entire bowl with a satisfied smile.
We were both stuffed and happy to have dropped into the Cattle Dog Café and Florist. But when it comes to desserts, the display cabinets were stocked with tempting sweets.
With Mother’s Day coming up there’s themed cupcakes, sugar cookies, handmade chocolates and sweet treat boxes up for grabs. The café and florist also offer catering and delivery to add to their already amazing service.
The Cattle Dog Café and Florist is a one stop shop for food and gifts and there’s nothing like supporting a quality local business.
