NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian has made clear she wants a Liberal MP sacked from the party after he captured a powerful position under the nose of a colleague whom the government had picked for the job. Matthew Mason-Cox was elected president of the NSW upper house during a chaotic session in the chamber that saw MPs hurling insults at each other and his party colleague Natasha Maclaren-Jones briefly assume the role before being overthrown.
