Former Australian Liberal leader and party stalwart, Andrew Peacock, has died in the United States aged 82.

As leader, minister and member for Kooyong for 28 years, he carried the baton of his predecessor Sir Robert Menzies championing Liberal ideals and providing strong and good government. Mr Frydenberg said.
Mr Peacock spoke in favour of same-sex marriage in September 2017 and revealed he had voted yes in the postal survey that led to marriage equality being legislated that year.
