The NSW governments decision to sack former prime minister Malcolm Turnbull from a new job promoting clean energy marks a depressing setback in the states efforts to deal with climate change.
This has been a comedy of errors exacerbated by bad luck. On paper Mr Turnbull seemed like an excellent choice to chair a new body called the Net Zero Emissions and Clean Economy Board, which is supposed to advise the government on attracting investment into low-carbon technologies.
