For almost 20 years Louisa Larkin has comfortably put the letter of the law to one side when walking her golden retrievers Lily and Pickles in the vast grounds of Callan Park.
The Balmain crime author and a multitude of locals like her have ignored a technicality requiring dog owners to have their pets on a leash while walking them throughout the majority of the 60 hectares of parklands in the inner west, and all without consequence.
