Two bushwalkers have been rescued after they became stranded due to heavy rain in the Blue Mountains.
The incident happened around 2.30pm on Saturday when they got into difficulties while crossing a fast flowing waterway on their return from hiking in Katoomba, a police spokesperson said.
They managed to cross to the other side and as they continued along the track, their path was again blocked by more fast-flowing water which had formed a waterfall across the track, the statement said.
