‘Transphobic’ website puts Melbourne University academics at odds – Sydney Morning Herald
Lecturer Holly Lawford-Smith has been accused of transphobia over a website in which women are encouraged to anonymously share tales of trans encounters.
I think its outrageous that these changes are being introduced and people arent even acknowledging the possibility of a conflict of interest, Dr Lawford-Smith said of her motivation for creating the site. No governments are gathering data on this, theres no place in the world for people to report where creepy things are happening in womens bathrooms or womens changing rooms or rape support groups.
Id prefer the data, but in lieu of that we can at least have the stories, and maybe then that will…
