Former Australian Test skipper Mark Taylor says he feels for the spectators from rural NSW who make the annual trip to the SCG Test match after crowd numbes were capped.
Taylor’s comments came after cricket officials slashed the crowd for the Sydney Test to just 12,000 spectators per day, or 25 percent capacity, due to Sydney’s COVID-19 outbreak.
The confirmation of the maximum crowd allowed is a significant step back from the initial proposal of a 50 percent capacity.
