There are reports in the Indian media that Sharma will open with the exciting Shubman Gill, meaning Mayank Agarwal will be dropped.
Gill, on debut, showed he was up for the battle in Melbourne, making 45 and 35 not out, while Agarwal has failed in his four innings to date in this series, with scores of 17, nine, zero and five.
