Parts of Victoria’s south-west flooded by fast-moving summer storm – The Age

Shops and homes were flooded in Warrnambool on Saturday afternoon when the severe storm dumped more than 50 millimetres of rain in just 30 minutes.



Shops and homes in Warrnambool were inundated by water after a severe stormed lashed the south-western Victorian city on Saturday afternoon.
The State Emergency Service said it received more than 90 calls for assistance after the sudden downpour hit the region shortly after 2pm.
More than 50 millimetres of rain fell in the town over a 30-minute period.
The Bureau of Meteorology said severe thunderstorms were expected to continue into the evening in western Victoria.
