Severe thunderstorms with giant hail, damaging winds and flash flooding are predicted to hit some areas in Central and South-East Queensland later today, the Bureau of Meteorology (BOM) says.
- Severe thunderstorms are possible along and east of Queensland’s Great Dividing Range, BOM says
- Hail in excess of 2 centimetres is possible along with damaging wind gusts in excess of 90kph
- The storms are expected to move out of South-East Queensland later this evening
