The $5 billion price included in The Australian Financial Review’s Street Talk column works out about $1.50 a share. This is unlikely to be enough given that the share price has already passed that level.
But the argument in favour of a higher price will come up against the problem that has plagued AMP since the Hayne royal commission exposed its flawed advice business…
