Of course, the key question is: what is Arougheti willing to pay for a business that he, no doubt, will break into separate pieces?
The $5 billion price included in The Australian Financial Review’s Street Talk column works out about $1.50 a share. This is unlikely to be enough given that the share price has already passed that level.
