Queensland Opposition Leader Deb Frecklington has sought to distance herself from comments made by NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian that she would “definitely open the border” if elected and would have done so “months ago”.
Campaigning on the Gold Coast ahead of Saturday’s election, Ms Frecklington confirmed she spoke to Ms Berejiklian “quite regularly”, but said she had not had those discussions with her.
