The hardest question has traditionally come from the field of circular geometry. But with the launch of new maths syllabuses in 2020, that topic was removed from course content and students were left guessing.
Raj Taware, a Sydney Technical High School student who managed to solve all four elements of the final question, thought students would be tested with a problem on vectors: the newest topic in the syllabus.
