Late on a day when the pandemic dominated State Parliament, Labor used its huge lower house majority to defeat a motion of no confidence brought by Liberal leader Michael OBrien by 44 votes to 23.
Mr O’Brien had earlier spent an hour at the dispatch box detailing his accusation against Premier Daniel Andrews, his colleagues and former colleagues over their handling of the COVID-19 pandemic, the second wave, the controversial curfew, problems with contact tracing and the hotel quarantine debacle…
