50,000 miss self-isolation in UK because of outdated Excel spreadsheet – Sydney Morning Herald

Missing cases were never registered with the National Health Service tracing regime, meaning contacts of the 16,000 infected people did not get notified.

The opposition’s health spokesman, Jonathan Ashworth, said the number of people who should have been contacted last week would be least 48,000 based on the average number of contacts a positive case refers for tracing.
