Woman injured after car ploughs into Melbourne cafe – The Age

A woman in her 30s was taken to hospital after she was hit by a car in Montmorency, in Melbourne’s north-east, on Friday morning.



Victoria Police said the the female driver, a 63-year-old from Montmorency, “accelerated out of a car spot on Were Street before colliding with a woman with four dogs”.
“The 39-year-old female pedestrian sustained minor injuries and was transported to hospital, while the dogs were taken to a veterinary clinic as a precaution,” a spokeswoman for police said.
The 63-year-old driver stopped at the scene according to police, and was fined $397 for careless driving.
