The leading candidate for a coronavirus vaccine will resume trials after the study was suspended due to a subject having an adverse reaction.
In a statement issued overnight, Oxford University confirmed the restart of all its UK clinical trials of the AstraZeneca vaccine.
The independent review process has concluded and following the recommendations of both the independent safety review committee and the UK regulator, the MHRA, the trials will recommence in the UK, it said.
