Emergency services have been inundated with calls for help on Friday morning after 100km/h winds tore through Melbourne, killing three people including a four-year-old boy.
The State Emergency Service received 813 requests for assistance in the past 12 hours, with 704 calls about fallen trees.
Almost 2000 calls for help were made in the past 24 hours.
More than 50,000 homes and businesses in the city’s outer east are without power.
