One new COVID-19 case as Queensland breaks testing record – Brisbane Times

Just one person returned a positive result after 20,000 people were tested across Queensland on Tuesday.



The person is the 11th case linked to the Brisbane Youth Detention Centre coronavirus cluster.
Deputy Premier and Health Minister Steven Miles said 20,856 tests were conducted on Tuesday, the most people swabbed in a 24-hour period of the pandemic.
“I know the waits for tests were shorter yesterday thanks to the additional fever clinics and resources we were able to provide,” he said.
