Alleged assault of child in hotel quarantine ‘not investigated’: guard – The Age

A security supervisor said he reported concerns that a baby had been physically assaulted, but that DHHS did not check if the child was OK.

The inquiry was also told that some hotel guests were given permission to leave each day before their mandated period of quarantine had lapsed to visit relatives.
The security supervisor testified to the inquiry on Friday, but was not asked about the suspected abuse he had mentioned in his statement.
