Police warn against driving to parks amid confusion over restrictions – The Age

Melburnians in stage four lockdown have been reminded they cannot drive to exercise spots within their five-kilometre restriction zones, with police warning “unhappy” residents against doing so.

“We understand that some people are unhappy with this restriction.
“This restriction has come from the Department of Health and Human Services on behalf of the Chief Health Officer. As police officers it is our job to enforce these restrictions in order to keep our communities safe, as we all face coronavirus.”
They said officers were patrolling the area to ensure people were was complying. Those caught breaching the restrictions face $1652 fines.
