South Korea has confirmed its highest number of new cases in five months as authorities fear the virus is getting out of control.
British travellers have rushed home from summer holidays in France, after the government announced a 14-day quarantine will come into force on Saturday in response to rising coronavirus infections there.
Meanwhile, Indonesia, with the highest coronavirus caseload in South-East Asia, is host to late-stage trials of a potential vaccine developed by a Chinese company.
