Victoria hit with 300 new coronavirus cases, six deaths on state’s deadliest day – The Age

Victoria has recorded its most deadly day in the COVID-19 pandemic as Premier Andrews announced teams of ADF personnel will help contact people who have tested positive for coronavirus but cannot be reached by telephone.



Twenty-eight teams of ADF personnel and authorised officers from the Department of Health will be helping with this effort, he said.
“People who test positive will be called. If they dont answer they will be called again within a two-hour period. If they still cant be contacted, then the ADF and authorised officers will go to doorknock their homes.
“It’s not about making judgments about people being willing or otherwise,” he said.
There have now been a total of 7405 cases recorded in Victoria…
