Piedimonte’s Supermarket goes to VCAT over rejected redevelopment plan – The Age

Piedimonte’s Supermarket wants to redevelop its Fitzroy North store into a seven-storey complex featuring 66 apartments, a cafe and an underground car park.

A majority of Yarra councillors rejected the plans in May, after receiving 602 objections and just eight submissions in support of the redevelopment.
This week, hundreds of those who objected to the redevelopment plans were notified that Piedimonte’s Supermarket had applied for a review with the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal.
