This week Prince Philip passed one of his most important military titles to Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, but had Prince Harry not quit the monarchy, he might have been the one to receive it.
Philip, 99, has held the honorary role of Colonel-in-Chief of The Rifles since its formation in 2007, and continued in the role even after his retirement from public royal duties in 2017.
