Growing clusters concern Premier as peak medical body says mask use in outbreak areas is essential – Sydney Morning Herald

It comes as police investigate reports people linked to the Thai Rock cluster in south-west Sydney were not self-isolating as required.



Sixteen new cases of COVID-19 were confirmed on Wednesday morning, as Ms Berejiklian said the next few weeks were the most critical time for the state since the lockdown in April and May.
“We have some level of anxiety as to the extent of community transmission and that’s why it’s important for all of us to play our part,” she said.
One of the new cases was in hotel quarantine, and one was in a person linked to a previously identified case that is not associated with a known cluster.
